Clock In & Out Automated

August 25, 2020

You asked and we listened — from now on Everhour can clock you in and out automatically based on the idle state of your PC!

Previously, the system could clock you in upon starting the timer on a task and clock you out automatically at the end of the day. Starting today, you get fully automatic clock-ins and outs based on your computer activity and enjoy the best time and attendance software available.

How Does It Work

The system operates with 3 possible states of your activity:

  • Active when the computer is on;
  • Idle when the computer is turned on but there has been no activity for some time. The period of inactivity is set to 15 minutes. After that time, we will consider your computer idle and clock you out in your Everhour account;
  • Locked when your computer is locked, turned off, or goes into sleep mode. One of these actions will also trigger the clock out in your Everhour account.

Idle Automation Preferences

We understand that it may not always be convenient for you to be clocked in and out automatically. That is why we made the timecard automation configurable on the My Profile page.

Here you can choose between the automatic timecards and regular clock-ins and outs based on timer starts and a working day’s end.

You can test out the feature now and let us know what you think by contacting us at ask@everhour.com
