Introducing the Time Clock Terminal

At Shifts, we’re dedicated to simplifying your shift scheduling and time tracking within one app. We understand that accurate timekeeping is crucial, and that’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our latest feature: the Time Clock Terminal.

This feature takes the hassle out of clocking in and out, making it easier than ever for you to manage your team’s work hours.

What is the Time Clock Terminal?

The Time Clock Terminal is a dedicated computer or mobile device (such as an iPad) designed exclusively for time tracking purposes. It serves as a centralized point for your team members to conveniently clock in and out. You can set up this terminal at key locations within your workplace, such as the entrance, break room, or at the heart of your workspace.

How to Set Up the Time Clock Terminal

Setting up the Time Clock Terminal is easy. A team admin should go to https://shifts.everhour.com/kiosk from a dedicated computer or an iPad and log in to their account.

That’s basically it! Your device is now ready for your team members to start clocking in and out using just their 4-digit pin codes.

Obtaining PIN Codes

To use the Time Clock Terminal, each team member needs a unique PIN code. Here’s how an admin can generate these codes:

• Go to Settings > Employees in Shifts app.
• Select a team member and click ‘Edit.’
• Navigate to the “Advanced” tab.
• Click ‘Create PIN.’

If the team member has already been invited into Shifts app, you can even send a notification email with their PIN code for added convenience.

Clocking In, Clocking Out, and Starting Breaks in Time Clock Terminal

Using the Time Clock Terminal is straightforward for team members.

To clock in, simply enter your PIN code. If you haven’t clocked in for the day, you’ll see the ‘Clock in’ button.

If you’ve already clocked in and wish to start a break or clock out, the terminal will display these options.

You can also use the ‘Lock screen’ button to secure the device. Or the screen will automatically lock after 30 seconds of inactivity, allowing the next team member to clock in, start a break, or clock out.
