Use this page to prepare a Swedish invoice with the fields a buyer, accountant, or tax reviewer expects to see. Sweden uses VAT, commonly called moms, and taxable invoices need the correct VAT label, rate, and amount. The invoice should also show prices in SEK unless the buyer contract uses another currency and the accounting record keeps the amounts clear.
A full Swedish VAT invoice needs an issue date, a unique sequential invoice number, seller and buyer names and addresses, the supplier VAT number, goods or services supplied, taxable amount by rate or exemption, VAT rate, and VAT amount due. The seller VAT number is normally written as SE followed by 10 digits and 01, for example SE999999999901.
A useful invoice app for Sweden should let you choose 25%, 12%, or 6% VAT and keep each VAT amount visible. It should also let you enter a supply date when the goods or services were supplied or completed, or when an advance payment was made, if that date differs from the invoice issue date.
Public-sector buyers need special handling. Invoices issued to Swedish public-sector buyers as a result of public procurement must be electronic invoices that comply with the European e-invoicing standard from April 1, 2019. A PDF invoice is not treated as a compliant e-invoice for that mandate, so the app needs a workflow that separates ordinary PDF invoices from required e-invoices.
The supplier VAT number belongs on Swedish VAT invoices where VAT applies. The customer VAT identification number also matters in reverse-charge cases and exempt intra-EU supplies that require the customer's VAT number. Leaving that field blank can turn a technically valid commercial document into an invoice that the buyer sends back for correction.
Simplified invoicing is available for lower-value transactions, generally when the total does not exceed SEK 4,000 including VAT. Simplified invoices still need enough information to identify the seller, transaction type, VAT, and amount. Use full invoice fields when the customer needs purchase approval, VAT recovery support, or a complete audit trail.
A free invoice tool is enough for a single Swedish invoice, a small project, or a quick PDF record. It works best when the price, buyer details, VAT rate, payment terms, and delivery details are already known. The finished invoice should stand on its own without forcing the accountant to reconstruct the work later.
A managed workflow matters when invoices depend on project time, billable expenses, client-specific rates, or team approval. Everhour reporting gives teams customizable reports with 45+ columns, grouping, filters, exports, and scheduled email delivery, so invoice preparation starts from organized project data instead of scattered time notes.

A Swedish invoice that charges tax uses VAT, commonly called moms in Swedish. The standard Swedish VAT rate is 25%, with reduced rates of 12% and 6% for specified goods and services. The invoice should show the taxable amount, VAT rate, and VAT amount due rather than hiding tax inside a single total.
A Swedish VAT registration number is normally written as SE followed by 10 digits and 01, for example SE999999999901. The number is based on the Swedish organization number. Put it with the seller details on a full VAT invoice so the buyer can connect the invoice to the registered supplier.
Swedish accounting records, including invoice records kept as accounting information, are generally allowed in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or English. A Swedish buyer can still require a specific invoice language in a contract or procurement process, so confirm the customer's preference before sending the final invoice.
A PDF is not treated as a compliant e-invoice for Swedish public-sector procurement invoices. Invoices issued to Swedish public-sector buyers as a result of public procurement must be electronic invoices that comply with the European e-invoicing standard from April 1, 2019. Use the buyer's accepted e-invoicing channel for those invoices.
A 30-day term is a practical default when no contract sets another due date. If a due date has not been agreed, Swedish late-payment interest on a monetary claim generally runs only after 30 days from the creditor's invoice or payment demand, at the reference rate plus eight percentage points.
Everhour Reporting turns logged time, budgets, costs, and project data into customizable reports with 45+ columns, filters, grouping, date ranges, and exports. A team can review billable time, non-billable time, costs, profit, and invoice status before preparing a Swedish client invoice.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing lets users select uninvoiced time and expenses, preview the breakdown, and generate an invoice from rates, time, and billable expenses. Non-billable work is excluded, and invoice data can be grouped by project, task, person, date, or another available breakdown.
Use Everhour reports to organize billable work, costs, invoice status, and project details before sending Swedish invoices. Everhour gives teams exportable billing data that supports cleaner invoice preparation.
