Track your budget through time or costs
Every report you need — configured your way, always up to date.
Tracked hours flow straight into a polished invoice — no copy-paste, no manual math.
You use Clockify with Basecamp when the immediate job is to start a timer from a Basecamp to-do and review the resulting entry in Clockify. Clockify adds a timer button through its Chrome or Firefox browser extension. The timer uses the Basecamp to-do name as the time entry description, then sends the tracked time to Clockify for review and reporting.
Basecamp itself now has a Timesheets upgrade as of July 23, 2026. It is included with Pro Unlimited and available as a $50/month flat add-on on other packages. Basecamp Timesheets logs date, hours worked, person, and optional notes, then supports project reports, cross-project reports, and CSV export. That matters when you only need hours, not rate-based budget controls.
Clockify states that a matching Clockify project can be selected automatically when its name matches the Basecamp project name. Its Basecamp page describes timer placement on Basecamp to-dos and later handling inside Clockify, including editing entries, analyzing time, managing projects, reviewing timesheets, and exporting reports.
Everhour also uses a browser extension for Basecamp, and Everhour states that the integration does not work in Basecamp native apps. After connection, Everhour syncs all Basecamp projects across teams and workspaces, updates renamed projects and to-dos, and reports against Basecamp fields such as project, to-do, list, task ID, and task status.
Clockify's Free plan is listed at $0 for up to 5 users and includes unlimited tracking, timesheet, tracking integrations, team activity, and reports. Clockify Standard adds invoicing, approval, locked time, task rates, and QuickBooks integration. Clockify Pro adds budget and estimates, alerts, expenses, labor cost and profit, scheduling, forecasting, and email reports.
Basecamp's native Timesheets description covers hours, review, reports, and export, but it does not state hourly rates, project budget caps, budget thresholds, or budget alerts. Everhour's Basecamp controls cover timer and manual time, timesheets, estimates, budgets, billable settings, non-billable task settings, custom rates, and automatic budget emails at 50%, 80%, or custom thresholds.
A lightweight timer is enough when the output is a time log, a timesheet review, or a CSV export for someone else to process. That setup works for internal project review, short contractor work, or a small team that only needs to know where hours went.
A managed workflow fits when Basecamp hours must become client invoices without rebuilding the record by hand. Everhour Billing & Invoicing turns tracked billable time and expenses into invoices, calculates invoice amounts from rates while excluding non-billable work, and can export invoices to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks with status details visible in Everhour.

Yes. Clockify's Basecamp integration works through the Clockify browser extension for Chrome or Firefox. The timer button appears in Basecamp to-dos, and the Basecamp to-do name becomes the time entry description. The tracked entries then live in Clockify, where users can edit entries, review timesheets, analyze time, and export reports.
Clockify documents name-based project matching. Its Basecamp page does not describe a full Basecamp project, to-do-list, and to-do sync into Clockify. If a Clockify project name matches the Basecamp project name, Clockify says the extension automatically selects that project when tracking starts.
Basecamp Timesheets logs date, hours worked, person, and optional notes inside Basecamp, then supports project reports, cross-project reports, and CSV export. Clockify places a browser-extension timer on Basecamp to-dos and manages the resulting time entries in Clockify's web app. The choice depends on whether you want native hour records or a separate time-tracking workspace.
Clockify lists tracking integrations on its Free plan, which is $0 for up to 5 users and includes unlimited tracking, time tracker, timesheet, team activity, and reports. Standard adds items such as invoicing, approvals, locked time, task rates, and QuickBooks integration. Pro adds budgets and estimates, alerts, labor cost and profit, expenses, scheduling, forecasting, and email reports.
Check where each tool stores the project structure you need for reporting. Clockify documents automatic project selection by matching the Basecamp project name. Everhour syncs all Basecamp projects and to-dos across teams and workspaces and reports with Basecamp-derived project, to-do, list, task ID, and task status fields.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing can generate invoices from uninvoiced billable time and expenses, calculate invoice amounts from rates, and exclude non-billable work. Invoices can be exported to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks as drafts, with status, number, issue date, and amount shown back in Everhour.
Everhour can set Basecamp projects as billable, fixed fee, or non-billable, then track budgets against logged time. Admins can use project budgets, task-level non-billable settings, custom rates, and automatic budget emails at 50%, 80%, or custom thresholds.
Track approved Basecamp hours, separate billable work, and send invoice drafts to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks. Everhour keeps time, rates, and invoice status tied to the billing workflow.
