Use this page to structure project time records for teams working in Ukraine, especially when hours feed client billing, payroll checks, or management reports. Project totals should show who worked, which task or client received the time, the date, and the working-time category when payroll treatment differs.
Ukraine's Labour Code sets the normal working-hours standard at no more than 40 hours per week, with lower standards possible by collective agreement. State Statistics Committee Order No. 489 also approves Form P-5 for recording working-time use, including codes for regular hours, part-time hours, night hours, overtime, and weekend or holiday work.
Project tracking starts with task-level entries: project, client, person, date, start and end time or duration, billable status, notes, and approval status. A clean record lets a manager compare planned work with actual time and separate billable delivery from internal coordination or rework.
Ukraine-specific reporting needs additional payroll categories. The Labour Code requires the employer or authorized body to keep per-employee overtime records. Overtime may not exceed 4 hours over two consecutive days or 120 hours per year. For hourly-paid employees, overtime is paid at double the hourly rate, while compensatory time off is not allowed.
A project app for Ukraine should make night work visible because the Labour Code defines night time as 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Night work is generally paid at an increased rate of at least 20% of base salary for each night hour, so a late deployment entry needs more than a project name and total duration.
Remote work also needs structure. Remote employees may split working time at their own discretion unless the contract says otherwise, but total working hours may not exceed the normal or reduced standards in Articles 50 and 51. During martial law, normal working time may rise to 60 hours per week for employees at critical infrastructure facilities, with a 40-hour cap for employees there who have legally reduced working time.
A one-off time tracker is enough when you need a weekly project total, a client backup report, or a simple UAH invoice input. It works for a small job when one person enters hours, checks categories, and stores the finished report with payroll or billing files.
A managed workflow becomes necessary when several people track across projects, managers approve time, and reports need to separate regular hours, overtime, night work, non-billable time, and client billing. Everhour Reporting can turn logged time into customizable reports with columns, grouping, filters, date ranges, exports, and scheduled email delivery for recurring review.

Ukraine does not require a specific project time tracking app. Employers still need working-time records that support payroll and labour compliance. Form P-5 is the official working-time record format approved by State Statistics Committee Order No. 489, so app reports should preserve the categories needed for regular hours, overtime, night hours, and weekend or holiday work.
Project managers should monitor the 40-hour normal workweek, overtime over two consecutive days, annual overtime, night work, and any reduced working-time category. The Labour Code limits overtime to 4 hours over two consecutive days and 120 hours per year, with separate martial law rules for critical infrastructure roles.
Billable project hours do not replace per-employee overtime records. A client report usually shows project value, while the Labour Code requires the employer or authorized body to record each employee's overtime work. Keep the project report for billing and the employee-level working-time record for payroll and compliance review.
Law No. 2297-VI governs employee time-tracking data when the data identifies or can identify a person. Processing must be specific, legitimate, transparent, adequate, and non-excessive, with a valid legal ground. A project app should collect the time fields needed for work, payroll, billing, and management review without unnecessary monitoring.
Ukrainian localization and hryvnia values are the domestic default. Ukraine's Constitution makes Ukrainian the state language and the hryvnia the currency unit. Client-facing or internal reports can include another language or currency when a contract requires it, but payroll and domestic accounting records should keep Ukrainian and UAH needs in view.
Everhour Reporting turns logged project time into configurable reports with 45+ columns, grouping, metadata filters, date ranges, and exports in CSV, Excel/XLSX, or PDF. Teams can build reports around client, project, member, billable time, labor cost, invoice status, and overtime visibility when overtime tracking is enabled.
Everhour Timesheets let users submit weekly project hours or working hours for manager review. Managers can approve, reject, or partially approve submitted time, and approved time stays locked for regular members, which protects the reviewed record before payroll, billing, or reporting uses it.
Track approved project time, review overtime and night-work categories, and export reports for billing or payroll. Everhour Reporting gives Ukraine-based teams a clearer record from each logged hour.
