A Ukrainian timesheet should help you see who worked, on which day, for how long, and under which category. State Statistics Committee Order No. 489 approves Form P-5 for recording the use of working time, including codes for regular hours, part-time hours, night hours, overtime, and weekend or holiday work. That structure gives payroll a practical checklist instead of a loose weekly total.
The record also needs to match the work arrangement. Office work, remote work, flexible schedules, night shifts, and weekend or holiday work create different review needs. Remote employees may split working time at their own discretion unless the contract says otherwise, but total working hours still must stay within the Labour Code's normal or reduced working-time standards under Articles 50 and 51.
Ukraine's Labour Code sets the normal working-hours standard at no more than 40 hours per week, with lower standards possible by collective agreement. A time record should separate ordinary working time from overtime, night work, weekend or holiday work, absences, and non-working days. That separation matters because each category feeds a different payroll or compliance check.
Overtime needs per-employee detail. The Labour Code requires the employer or authorized body to keep records of each employee's overtime work. Overtime work may not exceed four hours for each employee over two consecutive days or 120 hours per year. For hourly-paid employees, overtime is paid at double the hourly rate, while compensatory time off is not allowed.
A common mistake is treating late work as ordinary time because the total week still looks acceptable. Night time under the Labour Code runs from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and night work is generally paid at an increased rate of at least 20% of base salary for each night hour. A record that lacks start and end times makes that premium hard to verify.
Local setup also matters. Ukraine's Constitution makes Ukrainian the state language and the hryvnia the currency unit, so domestic payroll or billing records should support Ukrainian labels and UAH values. Employee time-tracking data can also be personal data under Law No. 2297-VI, which requires specific, legitimate, transparent, adequate, and non-excessive processing with a valid legal ground.
A simple time-tracking tool is enough when you need a clean weekly total for one person, one project, or one short engagement. It works best when the work pattern is plain, the person enters time promptly, and payroll only needs ordinary hours plus a clear note for any exception. One-off tracking becomes fragile when the team grows or categories multiply.
A managed workflow fits teams that need submitted timesheets, locked periods, manager review, project assignments, and correction rights. Everhour Team Management supports roles, project access, team groups, weekly capacity, personal tracking limits, approval workflow, and lock rules. That structure gives Ukrainian employers a repeatable review process before payroll, billing, or reporting uses the time data.

Ukraine does not have an EU-style CJEU working-time-recording rule in the facts provided. Ukrainian employers still need usable working-time records because the Labour Code requires per-employee overtime records, and Order No. 489 approves Form P-5 for recording working time categories such as regular hours, night hours, overtime, and weekend or holiday work.
Time records should flag overtime approaching four hours over two consecutive days and 120 hours per year for each employee. The Labour Code also requires per-employee overtime records, so a team-level total is not enough. Each employee's overtime should stay visible by date, not buried in a monthly payroll summary.
Night work should be separated by clock time because the Labour Code defines night time as 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Night work is generally paid at an increased rate of at least 20% of base salary for each night hour. A record with only total daily hours does not show which hours fall inside that window.
Remote employees may split working time at their own discretion unless the contract says otherwise. That flexibility does not remove the Labour Code's normal or reduced working-time standards under Articles 50 and 51. A useful time record still shows the hours actually worked, especially when overtime, night work, or weekend work appears.
During martial law, normal working time may be increased to 60 hours per week for employees at critical infrastructure facilities. Employees with legally reduced working time at such facilities may not exceed 40 hours per week. Time records should identify the worker category and setting before treating a longer week as allowable.
Everhour Team Management lets admins set roles, project assignments, team groups, weekly capacity, tracking limits, approval workflow, and lock rules. Managers can review submitted time before payroll or billing, then protect approved entries from ordinary member edits after the review period closes.
Everhour Reporting turns logged time into configurable reports with columns, grouping, filters, date ranges, and exports in CSV, Excel/XLSX, or PDF. Teams can review project hours, member totals, billable time, costs, and overtime visibility before sending records to payroll or finance.
Use Everhour Team Management to assign roles, review submitted time, lock approved periods, and keep project hours ready for payroll, billing, and reporting.
