A Bangladesh invoice for a VAT-registered supplier centers on Form VAT-6.3. The document should identify the supplier, buyer when required, taxable supply, VAT value, and final total in a format that can be printed, shared, and preserved. The original goes to the purchaser, and the supplier keeps a copy. For goods in transport, the original must accompany the vehicle.
Use the page to assemble a finished invoice before printing or saving it as a PDF. The practical goal is a document that supports payment and VAT records, not a rough bill. A service invoice can still follow the same discipline: clear parties, clear work, a VAT-exclusive amount, the VAT rate, the VAT amount, and the total including VAT.
Bangladesh uses VAT under the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012. The standard VAT rate is 15% for taxable imports and taxable supplies unless a special rule, zero-rating, or exemption applies. NBR states exports are taxed at 0%, so export invoices need the correct treatment instead of a standard domestic VAT line.
A VAT-6.3 invoice must include the issue date and time, supplier name, address, and Business Identification Number, plus the supply date and time. Add the goods description and quantity, VAT-exclusive value, VAT rate, VAT payable, and the total value plus VAT. Buyer name, address, and BIN are required when the supply value exceeds Taka 25,000.
VAT invoices in Bangladesh must be serially numbered by fiscal year. A business that supplies from more than one place must keep separate serial numbers for each place and include that place name, address, and invoice number. Reusing a number across branches creates reconciliation problems when the sales register, VAT return support, and printed invoice copies are reviewed together.
A registered person may use its own invoice format only when the form name, all prescribed information, and the minimum required copies are included. Treat the print layout as a compliance document first and a design document second. The buyer needs a readable original, while the supplier needs a preserved copy that matches the transaction record.
A one-off printed invoice is enough for a small sale, a single consulting job, or a corrected document that only needs the required Bangladesh VAT fields. It becomes harder to manage when invoice lines come from time entries, expenses, several projects, or recurring client work. Manual copying increases the risk of missed billable time or duplicated invoiced work.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing converts tracked billable time and expenses into invoices, calculates amounts from rates, excludes non-billable tasks, and supports invoice customization. That managed workflow matters when approved time needs to become an invoice, invoice status needs to remain visible, and accounting export must happen without rebuilding the same billing details by hand.

A printable Bangladesh VAT invoice should contain the prescribed VAT-6.3 information, including date and time, supplier name, address, BIN, supply details, VAT-exclusive value, VAT rate, VAT payable, and total value plus VAT. The supplier must issue at least two copies, give the original to the purchaser, and preserve a copy for records.
A Bangladesh VAT invoice needs the supplier Business Identification Number because the BIN identifies the registered or enlisted person. Buyer name, address, and BIN are required when the value of the supply exceeds Taka 25,000. Omitting required buyer details can affect input tax credit under the Act.
The standard Bangladesh VAT rate is 15% for taxable imports and taxable supplies unless a special rule or exemption applies. NBR also states exports are taxed at 0%. Use the rate that matches the supply, and show the VAT-exclusive value, VAT rate, VAT amount, and total including VAT.
A registered person can preserve prescribed VAT forms in its own format only when the form name, all prescribed information, and the minimum required copies are included. NBR may also declare own-format invoices or bills to be tax invoices by gazette order. A custom layout still needs the VAT-6.3 data.
A registered or enlisted person must send information for any VAT invoice or turnover tax invoice valued at more than Taka 2 lakh to the VAT Computer System in VAT-6.10 before or after filing the return for the tax period. This reporting is unnecessary when the required data already goes through an approved automated system.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing converts tracked billable time and expenses into client invoices. It calculates invoice amounts from rates, time, and billable expenses while excluding non-billable work, then keeps invoiced time from appearing again on a future invoice.
Everhour exports invoices to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks as drafts for accounting review. Invoice status, number, issue date, and amount sync back to Everhour, so project billing reports stay connected to the invoice record.
Track approved time, expenses, rates, and invoice status in Everhour, then create client invoices without rebuilding billing records from spreadsheets.
