Use a Bangladesh quote to turn a client request into a written estimate with the seller, buyer, scope, price, taxes, validity period, and payment notes in one place. The quote helps both sides confirm the commercial terms before a taxable supply is invoiced under Bangladesh VAT rules.
A quote does not replace the VAT invoice a registered supplier must issue in Form VAT-6.3 against each taxable supply. Keep the quote aligned with the later invoice by using the same customer name, Business Identification Number where available, item descriptions, quantities, and Tk pricing.
Bangladesh uses VAT under the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012. The standard VAT rate is 15% for taxable imports and taxable supplies unless a special rule, zero-rating, or exemption applies. Exports are taxed at 0% according to NBR's VAT FAQ.
A quote should separate the VAT-exclusive value, VAT rate, VAT amount, and total including VAT when VAT applies. This structure mirrors the key commercial fields that appear on a VAT-6.3 tax invoice, including description, quantity, value, VAT rate, VAT payable, and total value plus VAT.
Buyer details matter once the transaction moves from quote to tax invoice. Bangladesh rules require buyer name, address, and Business Identification Number on a tax invoice when the value of the supply exceeds Taka 25,000. The Act also states that input tax credit is not admissible if those buyer details are omitted where required.
Use the quote stage to collect the buyer's legal name, address, and BIN before approval. A quote for Tk 80,000 in services should not leave buyer identification as "to be confirmed," because that missing detail can delay the compliant invoice after acceptance.
A free quote works for a single price request, especially when you need a downloadable estimate before a client approves the job. It is enough when the scope is short, rates are fixed, and the quote does not need to pull from tracked hours or project costs.
A managed workflow fits recurring client work, time-and-materials projects, and teams using different rates. Everhour separates cost and billable rates, supports per-person defaults and per-project overrides, preserves dated rate history, and prices billable work by project, member, or task before billing.

No. A quote is a pre-sale commercial estimate. A registered person must issue a VAT invoice in Form VAT-6.3 against each taxable supply. The quote can use the same pricing and customer details, but the VAT-6.3 invoice is the prescribed tax invoice after the supply is made or invoiced.
Use 15% for taxable supplies unless a special rule, zero-rating, or exemption applies. NBR's VAT FAQ states that exports are taxed at 0%. A quote should show the VAT-exclusive amount, the VAT rate applied, the VAT amount, and the total including VAT when VAT is charged.
Collect the buyer's legal name, address, and Business Identification Number when available. These details become required on the VAT invoice when the value of the supply exceeds Taka 25,000, and missing required buyer details can affect input tax credit.
Fiscal-year serial numbering applies to VAT invoices, including separate serial numbering by place of supply when a registered person supplies from more than one place. A quote can use its own estimate numbering, but the later VAT-6.3 invoice needs the required fiscal-year invoice sequence.
The reporting duty applies to a VAT invoice or turnover tax invoice valued at more than Taka 2 lakh. A registered or enlisted person must send that invoice information to the VAT Computer System in VAT-6.10 unless the data already goes through an approved automated system.
Everhour separates internal cost rates from client-facing billable rates, with per-person defaults and per-project overrides. Teams can price work by project, member, or custom task rate, then keep dated rate changes tied to the correct period for cleaner quote and billing decisions.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing lets teams select uninvoiced billable hours and expenses, review the billing breakdown, and create an invoice from that approved work. The invoice amount uses the relevant rates, recorded time, and billable expenses, while non-billable work stays out of the client charge.
Price Bangladesh client work from clean rate data before invoicing. Everhour keeps cost and billable rates, project overrides, and dated changes organized, giving teams clearer quote-to-billing control.
