Use this page when you need a finished Israeli invoice that can be saved, shared with a customer, and kept with your bookkeeping records. The document should identify the transaction clearly, state the seller and buyer, show the amount charged, and separate VAT from the total when the supply is taxable.
Israel uses value-added tax, commonly called Ma'am, for taxable goods and services. A VAT-registered authorized dealer issues a tax invoice for taxable transactions, and a business buyer generally needs a valid tax invoice to deduct input VAT. That makes the invoice more than a payment request. It is also the buyer's VAT evidence.
A tax invoice should carry the tax-invoice label, a sequential invoice number, and the issue date. It should identify the supplier and show the supplier's VAT registration number, often called the authorized dealer number. For business tax invoices used for VAT deduction, include buyer details that match the transaction.
The amounts need the same care. Show the net consideration, VAT amount, and invoice total as separate figures so the deductible input VAT can be read directly. Israel's standard VAT rate is 18% in 2026. Exports of goods and certain services can be zero-rated, and some transactions are exempt, so apply the treatment that fits the supply.
A downloaded invoice should preserve the exact fields the customer, bookkeeper, and tax records need later. Avoid layouts that hide the VAT number, merge VAT into the total, or leave the invoice number outside the final file. Those shortcuts create extra questions when the buyer reviews the document.
Currency also matters. The Israeli shekel, ILS, is the domestic currency. The Bank of Israel publishes representative foreign-exchange rates, but those rates are indicators and are not legally obligatory for private transactions. If you invoice in another currency, keep the agreed commercial terms clear and make the VAT presentation easy to audit.
A one-off downloadable invoice works for a small job, a single client request, or a corrected document that needs clean formatting. It is enough when you already know the billable items, tax treatment, customer details, and invoice number, and you only need a finished file for sending and recordkeeping.
A managed workflow becomes the better fit when time entries feed invoices repeatedly. Everhour can keep billable and non-billable time separate through project billing status, task-level non-billable controls, custom task rates, and member-rate exceptions, so invoice totals start from cleaner source data before the accounting handoff.

A business tax invoice used for input-VAT deduction should show the tax-invoice label, sequential invoice number, issue date, seller details, seller VAT registration or authorized dealer number, buyer details relevant to the transaction, net amount, VAT amount, and total. Missing identifiers make the invoice harder for the buyer to use as VAT evidence.
Israel's standard VAT rate is 18% in 2026 for taxable supplies. Exports of goods and certain services can be zero-rated, and some transactions are exempt. Treat those categories as their own VAT treatments rather than forcing every invoice line to carry the standard rate.
Under Israel's invoice-allocation model, 2026 B2B tax invoices above ILS 15,000 before VAT need a Tax Authority allocation number for the customer to deduct input VAT. The threshold is measured before VAT, so the net invoice amount drives the allocation-number check.
A tax invoice is the VAT document issued by a VAT-registered authorized dealer for taxable transactions. The buyer generally needs a valid tax invoice to deduct input VAT. A basic payment request that lacks the tax-invoice label, VAT number, VAT breakdown, or required identifiers does not serve the same VAT record purpose.
The common mistake is downloading a file that looks complete but omits tax details from the final version. Keep the invoice number, issue date, supplier VAT number, buyer details, net amount, VAT amount, total, and allocation number when required. A clean PDF that hides those fields creates bookkeeping cleanup instead of a usable record.
Everhour lets admins set project billing status, mark specific tasks as non-billable, apply custom task rates, and set member-rate exceptions. Reports can show billable time, non-billable time, billable amount, and cost, so invoice preparation starts from time records that already separate chargeable work from internal work.
Everhour Billing & Invoicing can turn uninvoiced billable time and expenses into invoices, with line items grouped by project, task, person, date, or another available breakdown. After time is invoiced, Everhour marks it as invoiced so the same time does not appear again on a later invoice.
Keep Israeli invoice files clean, then manage repeat billing from accurate time records. Everhour separates billable and non-billable work before invoice preparation, reducing rework around client totals and invoice review.
