This update continues our commitment to improving task management by offering more options for you to attach and share visual assets or documents seamlessly within your workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Upload Files and Images<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now easily attach files and images to any internal task:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large no-border\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"634\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-634x1024.png\" alt=\"internal projects: upload files and images\" class=\"wp-image-48642\" srcset=\"https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-634x1024.png 634w, https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-186x300.png 186w, https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-768x1240.png 768w, https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-951x1536.png 951w, https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1-1268x2048.png 1268w, https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Everhour-task-details-files-1.png 1510w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Add File Button<\/strong>: Use the \u201cAdd File\u201d button, available under the task description, to select a file or image from your device.<\/li><li><strong>Paperclip Icon<\/strong>: You can also use the paperclip icon in the task\u2019s header to quickly add an attachment.<\/li><li><strong>Paste Directly<\/strong>: If you have an image copied to your clipboard, simply open the task and press <strong>Ctrl + V<\/strong> (or Cmd + V on Mac) to paste it directly.<\/li><li><strong>Drag and Drop<\/strong>: For added convenience, you can also drag an image from your desktop straight into the task.<\/li><li><em>Please note that file size is currently limited to 10MB per upload.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enhanced Image and File Handling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For added functionality, images now come with a preview feature, allowing you to quickly view the content without needing to download it. PDF files, on the other hand, will open in a new browser tab for easy viewing. Any other file type will automatically download when clicked, making it easy to access your documents directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role-Based Attachment Permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In projects where task management is restricted to admins only (as set in the <strong>Who Can Manage Tasks: Only Admins<\/strong> option), users with other roles will not have the ability to add or delete attachments. This ensures better control over sensitive files and maintains project organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Next?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature is another step in our ongoing efforts to improve internal project functionality. Previously, we introduced a commenting feature to foster communication within tasks, and coming soon, we plan to add <strong>custom fields<\/strong> and <strong>cover image options for board views<\/strong> to enhance customization and task visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re excited to see how these new attachment options streamline your workflows!
