Here, you will find a short explainer of what Jira is, its capabilities, and additional information for you to get started. You will also find a blue <strong>\u201cGet it free\u201d<\/strong> button on the page\u2019s upper left and right corners. Click either of these buttons to make an account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. On the next page, you will choose between two Jira Softwares: <strong>Confluence and <a href=\"https:\/\/everhour.com\/blog\/jira-service-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jira Service Management<\/a>. <\/strong>Each product has its pros, cons, and use cases, so you need to decide which one better suits your current goals. It\u2019s not turned on by default, so here are the steps to do that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. First, create a sample issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click<strong> Project Settings<\/strong> at the left sidebar. In Jira, you can only log time for issues. Issues are specific elements under a story \u2013 a set of tasks that you need to perform to meet project demands or customer feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that the first step to creating your first work log is to create an issue first. Luckily, this is a very simple process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. After logging into Jira, you\u2019ll automatically be brought to your <strong>first project&#8217;s dashboard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. If you want to create a new project, navigate to the top of the UI, click <strong>Projects<\/strong>, and pick <strong>Create New Project<\/strong> in the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Once you\u2019re on the correct project dashboard, <strong>click the issue<\/strong> where you want to log time. If you don\u2019t have one yet, simply click <strong>Create Issues<\/strong> and fill in all the necessary details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
